About Don Roberts
Don Roberts (publisher of RemodelAssist.com and ADUGuide.org)
Home remodeling Project Manager Don Roberts created the ADU Guide website to help answer questions about accessory dwelling units that California homeowners have.
While ADUs have been around for a long time, it wasn't until about 2020 that they really started becoming more well-known, partly due to favorable new ADU laws from the California state legislature and local municipalities.
With their increase in popularity, Don decided to create a comprehensive resource for ADUs and JADUs.
Don also managed the full remodel of his own home. Even though he researched the topic before starting his remodel project, Don found out there were so many things he hadn't been prepared for.
From that experience and the lessons he learned the hard way, Don created the RemodelAssist website to help homeowners better prepare for their home remodeling projects. RemodelAssist provides insights and tips for each step of the home renovation process.

Long Beach contractor Michael Baum
We are fortunate to have the guidance of veteran general contractor Michael Baum of Baum Construction & Development based in Long Beach, CA.
Michael is a multi-year Angie's List "Super Service Award" winner and an Amazon best-selling author.
He wrote "the" book on how to select the right general contractor every time, and it's called Sawdust to Satisfaction.
Michael shares his considerable experience in home remodeling and ADU construction. Oh... and Michael builds some of the nicest ADUs found anywhere in Southern California.
